Myrkdalen ski resort in Western Norway is the perfect getaway for an active holiday all year round. During the summer, Myrkdalen offers some of the most beautiful mountain and fjord scenery, built for play and great experiences. The area, which is one of Europe’s most snow-sure ski areas, offers skiing experiences for all tastes. There are experiences for the little ones who can safely take their first ski runs with the local trolls Grebbe Hangur at Voss and Mikkel and Mikkeline in Myrkdalen.

There are experiences for the more experienced, who can whizz down the many alpine slopes, test their strength in the challenging terrain park or make exciting off-piste discoveries in some of Norway’s most stunning winter landscapes. For family cross-country skiing excursions, the area offers outstanding tours to the snow-capped mountain peaks overlooking Norway’s most beautiful fjords. The tours are sure to bring inner peace to young and old alike, as you are the first to make tracks in the freshly fallen powder snow while gazing out over the mountain peaks and glistening fjords.
SKI RESORT WITH 22 VARIED SLOPES AND 9 LIFTS
The resort has nine lifts: 2 six-seater express lifts, 3 t-bar lifts, 3 disc lifts and a magic carpet for the youngest skiers. Most slopes are wide and open – Myrkdalen is therefore a perfect place to learn to ski. Do you need to rent equipment or would you like to have a ski lesson? The Ski School and Ski Rental offer a broad range of products and activities.
DEDICATED KIDS’ AREA
In Myrkdalen kids and teenagers can join skiing competitions, Sledding, “Jib Camps”, “SkiAdventures” and much more. The kids’ area has two disc lifts, a magic carpet and four varied green slopes.
CROSS COUNTRY AND BACKCOUNTRY SKIING
Close to the ski resort are groomed cross country skiing slopes and great terrain for backcountry skiing. If you like skiing off-piste, we encourage you to use our training area for avalanche transceivers.
SKI RENTAL AND SKI SCHOOL
Myrkdalen Ski School offers private and group lessons for all levels in alpine skiing, snowboard, telemark, park, cross country skiing and sit-ski. The ski rental is located at the Myrkdalen Sport 1 store.
